Cause detail: EXCAVATOR POT HOLED UNKNOWN LINE AND ASSUMED IT WAS THE GAS LINE. THEY PROCEEDED AND STRUCK A 6" PLASTIC MAIN APPROX. 10 FOOT IN DEPTH. SECTION OF MAIN WAS DISCONNECTED AND ISOLATED UNTIL REPAIRS WERE MADE. DURING INVESTIGATION IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE MARKINGS WERE APPROX. 2 FT INACCURATE.
