Cause detail: THIS INCIDENT IS NOT A REPORTABLE ACCIDENT UNDER DOT PART 195 REGULATIONS, HOWEVER, SUN PIPE LINE COMPANY WISHES T ADVISE YOU OF THIS RELEASE BECAUSE OF OUR NOTIFICATION TO THE NRC.AT APPROXIMATELY 1307 HRS., FEBRUARY 17, 1988, WHILE PERFORMING PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE ON A STRAINER DRAIN AT LOWELL PUMP STATION A NIPPLE BROKE OFF AN RELEASED APPROXIMATELY 20 GALLONS OF TOLUENE OF WHICH APPROXIMATELY 10 GALLONS WERE RECOVERED. A NEW NIPPLE AND VALVE HAS BEEN INSTALLED.
