Cause detail: ON JULY 3, 2023, AT 1:30 A.M., THE OPERATIONS CONTROL CENTER (OCC) WAS NOTIFIED OF A RELEASE AT THE MARGARET LEASE AUTOMATIC CUSTODY TRANSFER (LACT) SITE. APPROXIMATELY 0.5 BARRELS OF CRUDE OIL WERE RELEASED. THE BALL CHECK ON THE AIR ELIMINATOR FAILED TO SEAL, ALLOWING CRUDE OIL TO FLOW INTO THE ENVIRONMENTAL BOX. THE ENVIRONMENTAL BOX OVERFILLED, LEADING TO THE RELEASE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES, AND THE SITE WAS CLEANED UP AND REPAIRED PROMPTLY.
