Cause detail: EARTH MOVEMENT

Cause detail: STONE ENERGY CONTACTED TENNESSEE GAS PIPELINE TO REPORT BUBBLES IN THE AREA OF SOUTH PASS BLOCK 38, NEAR THEIR TIE-IN. THE PIPELINES ARE LOCATED IN A KNOWN MUDSLIDE AREA. THE TWO PIPELINES APPARENTLY CAME INTO CONTACT WITH ONE ANOTHER AFTER A MUDSLIDE OCCURRED. THE TENNESSEE LINE WAS FOUND WITH APPROXIMATELY 11 FEET OF SOIL OVERBURDEN, FOLLOWING DAMAGE INSPECTION. APPARENTLY, THE 8" STONE ENERGY LINE CAME INTO CONTACT WITH THE 12" TENNESSEE 526A-2400 LINE, WHERE THE LINES CROSSED, CAUSING SOME DAMAGE TO THE TOP OF THE 12" LINE.
