LATERAL RMV ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGYAmeren Illinois Company (AIC) hereby provides notification, in accordance with 49 CFR §192.18, of its plans to implement alternative equivalent technology (AET) in place of rupture mitigation valves (RMVs) on its intrastate natural gas transmission system in Illinois. AIC plans to utilize Mooney FlowgridTM Slam Shut Valves (Slam Shut Valves) as an AET to RMVs, at selected pressure regulating stations on laterals connected to a mainline Shut-Off Segment [1].
