MAOP RECONFIRMATION METHOD 2 FACTOR/PERIODThis notification is to inform PHMSA, in accordance with 49 CFR 192.624 (c)(2)(iii) and 192.18, of Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE) Company’s compliance with MAOP Reconfirmation by Method 2 utilizing a less conservative pressure reduction factor. On December 1st 2025, BGE performed MAOP pressure reduction on the Company’s Greenspring transmission pipeline. This is a span of transmission pipeline approximately 5 miles in length located in Baltimore County, MD. The northernmost point is located at the intersection of Ridge Rd & Greenspring Ave, the southernmost point ending at the intersection of near I-695 & Greenspring Ave. BGE has thoroughly analyzed records of its Greenspring transmission pipeline, assessed all available methods within 192.624 and determined Method 2 Pressure Reduction utilizing a less conservative pressure reduction factor as the best option from a safety, reliability, and customer affordability perspective. As a result, BGE has reconfirmed the MAOP of the Greenspring transmission pipeline by reducing MAOP from 300 psi to 250 psi.#
