Scope [49 CFR 192.801]

(A)A. This Chapter prescribes the minimum requirements for operator qualification of individuals performing covered tasks on a pipeline facility. [49 CFR 192.801(a)]#

(B)B. For the purpose of this Chapter, a covered task is an activity, identified by the operator, that: [49 CFR 192.801(b)]#

(1)1. is performed on a pipeline facility; [49 CFR 192.801(b)(1)]#

(2)2. is an operations or maintenance task; [49 CFR 192.801(b)(2)]#

(3)3. is performed as a requirement of this Part; and [49 CFR 192.801(b)(3)]#

(4)4. affects the operation or integrity of the pipeline. [49 CFR 192.801(b)(4)]#
